I enjoyed this book immensely and it will be the first in (hopefully) a very long new series. I loved seeing some new characters and getting to know more about Zacharel. There are reasons the sensuality goes sort of slow (see torture above) and I found it to be believable and authentic. I love Zacharel and Annabelle together, they compliment each other perfectly and they balance out each other's issues.which are many for both of them individually.

She holds no bars and it adds a layer of authenticity to a paranormal tale. Showalter has no problem torturing her characters in whatever inhuman way that can be thought of. When I was asked to participate in the blog tour for this novel I it made my is a spin off from the Lords of the Underworld series. I was so excited when I found out about this series.SO EXCITED! I had my eye on Zacharel for awhile, he always had hard sheen in his eyes that I couldn't wait for some willful heroine to break. Showalter for a very long time, especially her early paranormal romances and then her Lords of the Underworld Series.
